About
The word ‘slum’ recently has been coined in different popular cultures. The hits of Slumdog Millionare revealed the unpopular, yet exploitative, part of urban geography. Slum is a new formation of contiguous character of a city. Postcolonially, it is living for more than the chronicle of metropolitan itself. Often, the history of slum are shadowed by the reality of socialite which consist smaller number of humanity.
Slum is a depiction and evidence of local cultures and conditions, accidents of history and politics, and topography or the built environment. Slum ecology is microcosm inside urban sprawl of larger macrocosm, with their own economy and social structure, whereas others are ‘black holes of misery and despair’.
South and South-eastern Asia are where nearly half of the world’s slums are located and when improvements are beginning to occur – areas with the greatest concentration of slums and the fastest urbanization.
Slumtraveller is an experimental narrative based on my journey to unmask the context of slum in which dwellers live with unique autonomy as opposed with popular norms. Genuine changes may be observed, particularly when broad averages are ‘drilled down’ to examine the underlying changes in real conditions in individual cities. Recording the collective memory of urban slums will provide comprehensive view toward the interaction of poverty and sustainability.

I like your approach to slums. Keep up the good work!
